Chamber candidate forum set for Oct. 6

MOSES LAKE - Come and hear several local and state candidates running for political office during the Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce's Candidate Forum Oct. 6.

The forum takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center at 900 E. Yonezawa Blvd. in Moses Lake.

Those confirmed to be in attendance include:

  • Grant County PUD no. 3 commissioner candidate Larry Schaapman
  • PUD District B candidates Bob Bernd and Noah Zemke
  • County assessor candidates Laure Grammer (incumbent) and Melissa McKnight
  • County auditor candidates Michele Jaderlund and Jacob Taylor
  • County commissioner District 3 candidates Cindy Carter (incumbent) and Randy Zolman
  • County prosecutor candidates Angus Lee (incumbent) and Garth Dano
  • County treasurer candidates Darryl Pheasant (incumbent) and Casey Cooper
  • District Court judge no. 1 candidate Richard C. Fitterer (incumbent)
  • State representative position no. 1 candidates Dani Bolyard and Tom Dent
  • State representative position no. 2 candidate Matt Manweller (incumbent)
  • State senator candidates Judy Warnick and Mohammad Said
  • Fourth Congressional District representative candidate Dan Newhouse

The Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce is also adding a meet and greet at 5:30 p.m. with candidates because so many are planning to attend. Questions from the audience will be limited, according to chamber marketing director Lori Robins.
