MOSES LAKE - A Moses Lake man was arrested on Friday after he reportedly left his shoes at a house he burglarized. The shoes later connected him to the scene of the crime.

About 7 p.m., a woman who lives in the 7500 block of Bouldercrest Road returned home and found a pair of shoes, according to information provided by Grant County Sheriff's Office.

The woman came into her house through her garage and spotted the unfamiliar pair of shoes near the interior door of her house.

The woman entered her house and found a man hiding underneath a home office desk. The woman ran from her house and quickly contacted authorities. The shoeless man also ran from the house.

Later in the night, three deputies arrived at the scene and began searching for the suspect.

Deputies were able to find the suspect, with a resident's help, at a neighboring home on Bouldercrest Road.

Deputies arrested T.J. Brice Harman, 20, of Moses Lake, in connection to the burglary.

Deputies showed Harman the shoes that were found at the scene, which he reportedly acknowledged were his, according to the sheriff's office.

Harman was arrested by the deputies and booked in the Grant County Jail on suspicion of residential burglary.
