Keith Irwin Partridge

| November 26, 2014 5:00 AM

Keith Irwin Partridge, 87, passed away on Nov 16, 2014, at his home in Moses Lake, Washington.

Keith was born in 1927 to Alfred and Dido Partridge, in Burwell, Neb. He was one of 15 children born to this couple.

He served in the Coastguard from 1948-1952. He met and married Helen Demchuck in 1959, and they raised four children in Seattle.

Keith was a plumber by profession. During his career, he owned his own plumbing business, enjoyed working on the Alaskan pipeline and later retired from Seattle Housing Authority in 1989. After retirement, Keith and Helen moved to Moses Lake.

Keith loved football, animals, camping, poker, building water features, building a clubhouse for his granddaughter Jessie (while in his 80's) and family reunions. We can only imagine the reunion he is having now with his parents, 13 of his siblings and his wife in heaven.

Keith had a gift of being able to put people at ease. With either a funny remark (usually related to himself) or a "mischievous boy" facial expression, you couldn't help but immediately like him. Despite a difficult cancer diagnosis, he was a true gentleman, to all of us, until the end.

Keith is survived by his brother, Lowell Partridge, his four children Deborah Hixenbaugh Lunt, Cheryl Prappas, Darell Partridge and Linda (Partridge) Lotze. He also had nine grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, 13 siblings and his wife of 49 years, Helen.

At his request, no services will be held.
