Quincy data center announces 4.5 megawatts of new capacity

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - Vantage Data Centers recently announced the addition of 4.5 megawatts of new capacity at its Quincy data center location.

According to a prepared statement from the company, Vantage accelerated the build of adding the 4.5 megawatts of new capacity in order to meet one of their customer's requirement for capacity sooner than they previously expected.

The Quincy data center is located on 68 acres of land, with an overall master plan of four data center buildings, which will total about 529,000 square feet and 55 megawatts of information technology load.

Quincy data centers' first facility was revealed in September 2013 and boasts 61,000 square feet of raised floor data center space, inside of a 133,000 square foot building.

According to VDC, the new addition of 4.5 megawatts of capacity has a new mechanical and electrical infrastructure, bringing the megawatt total to 6 megawatts at the facility.
