Moses Lake man chosen for board

MONTREAL - Jim Perdue, vice president and manager of sales for Sonico Inc. in Moses Lake, has been elected president of the Aeronautical Repair Station Association's (ARSA) Board of Directors at the group's annual meeting in Montreal.

ARSA is the only association devoted to the unique needs of the global civil aviation maintenance industry. It helps member companies run their operations more efficiently and effectively, while continuing to ensure the safety of aircraft worldwide.

An ARSA board member since 2006, Perdue previously served as treasurer and vice president.

"We're entering an important year for the association," Perdue said. "We're going to help Congress reauthorize the FAA, address the challenge of finding and growing a skilled technical workforce, expand our influence internationally and continue to provide the finest regulatory compliance support in the industry."

Perdue is a member of the that family owns Sonico. He graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.

Perdue has been involved with Sonico since its inception. He has supported various departments, including Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Manager and Sales Manager.

Perdue is an active member of the Moses Lake community with the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary International.
