In the first tight contest of the weekend, the Lake Monsters were able to push through and take home the title in a hard fought 5-4 victory over the Okanogan Valley Farmers. Defense was the key as the tying run was on second base with 2 outs in the top of the sixth.

The Farmers leadoff batter hit a blooper that looked like it would drop to tie the ballgame when Matthew Berg came flying in from left field to make a tremendous catch and seal the victory for the Lake Monsters. The win pushed the Lake Monster's season record to 19-4.
