Diane Joy McIntyre

| May 24, 2014 6:00 AM

Diane Joy McIntyre stepped into Heaven and was greeted by her Lord and Savior on May 21, 2014.

On February 17, 1941 Diane Joy Finley was born to Lloyd A. Finley and Geraldine A. Finley (nee' Johnson) in Los Angeles, California. Joining her sister Donna Jean, the Finley family was complete. During her childhood years the family lived in California and Oregon. It was in Oregon during her high school years that she met her lifelong partner, Loren J. McIntyre. On July 26, 1959 they were joined in marriage in Aloha, Oregon. The two of them were blessed with three children; Lee, Lory, and Bud. They made their home in Beaverton, Oregon and Banks, Oregon until finally moving to Moses Lake, Washington in 1979 where they have resided since. It was with a great sense of humor and strong faith in God that she raised her children and later had a great influence on her grandchildren. Her faith, husband, and family meant everything to her. Prayer, family vacations, family gatherings, landscaping, flowers, and laughter were the center of her world. She was a spitfire!

In the early 1970s Diane fully came to know the Lord and she asked Him to forgive her of her sins. She became a born-again Christian and devoted child of God at that time. She and Loren were later baptized on the same day. Over the years her family and many, many friends called Diane seeking prayer. These requests were never taken lightly, she devoted much of her time seeking God's favor for them and for herself.

Diane is survived by her husband of 54 years, Loren J. McIntyre. Her children; son Lee (Tammi) McIntyre, daughter Lory (Mark) Benavidez, and son Bud (Laura) McIntyre. Grandchildren; Lynn (Brent) Torrence, Joel (Mickenzie) McIntyre, Jordan (Breanne) McIntyre, Tyler (Krystal) McIntyre, Jessica McIntyre and soon-to-be-husband Matthew Harris, Jacob Benavidez, Rebecca Benavidez, Amanda and Zachary Smith. Great-grandchildren; Levi, Allee, and Gunner McIntyre, with another due on January 1, 2015. Her sister Donna, nieces Candace (Rick) White, Cindy (Mark) Vandervest, and Gregory Rogers. Her sisters-in-law Lola Marie (Leonard) Nofizger, Joyce Helvey, Richard (Mary Lee) McIntyre, nieces and nephews, Julie, Kenneth, Jenni, Mindy, Tim, Kelley, Kristen, and Chad.

Welcoming her into Heaven with her Savior; her parents, mother-in-law Goldie McIntyre, father-in-law Loren D. McIntyre; and brother-in-law, Clinton Helvey.
