Emersyn passed away on May 15th, 2014 after battling severe gastroschisis with pulmonary hypoplasia, pulmonary hypertension, and sepsis.

She was born on April 21st, 2014 with a severe case of Gastroschisis and began the next stage of her journey with 2 surgeries to try and place her organs back inside of her. She inspirationally fought for life every day. In her short 24 day life she touched many hearts, showed more strength than anyone possibly could, and taught everyone the true meaning of unconditional love and hope.

She is survived by her daddy, Cory Thomas, her mommy, Carissa Shoemaker, her three big sisters, Jaelyn, Khloe, and Liyah, and many nanas, papas, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. May you rest peacefully little Emmy. We love you. Fly high sweet girl.
