Quincy kidnapping suspect caught by police

QUINCY — A 30-year-old Quincy man accused of the kidnapping and beating of his ex-girlfriend was arrested today by the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team and the Grant County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team.

Roberto Rodriguez, 30, had been on the run since the May 3 incident, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. He was found at a house near Quincy, according to the report. Officers tried to stop the vehicle but it took off quickly.

Rodriguez faces charges in Grant County Superior Court of first-degree kidnapping, attempted first-degree kidnapping, first-degree burglary, second-degree assault, unlawful imprisonment, attempted residential burglary and harassment.

Rodriguez’s 25-year-old ex-girlfriend suffered broken facial bones and other wounds during the attack.
