EPHRATA - Prosecuting Attorney Angus Lee said he wants to keep prosecuting criminals in Grant County as he announced this week he is seeking re-election to a second term.

Lee stated in a release he has a 90 percent conviction rate in jury trials, and has been a prosecutor in Grant County for eight years. He stated that he also has dramatically increased the number of cases brought to trial in the county.

"I have dedicated my life to fighting to make this world a safer place for good people. From my time in the Marine Corps, and throughout my time in prosecution, I have always been happy to serve. I am proud to call Moses Lake home and look forward to continuing to serve the Grant County community," he said in a release.

Lee said he is proud that his office staff of 30 has always operated within their budget.

Lee was appointed to fill former prosecutor John Knodell's seat in 2009 when Knodell was elected judge. Lee then ran in 2010 and won the seat. He is now running for his second term.

Before beginning his role as a prosecutor, Lee served with the U.S. Marine Corps on Force Reconnaissance teams conducting missions in the Middle East as part of the Global War on Terror.

Lee's wife, Jennifer owns CrossFit Four Pillars, a strength and conditioning facility, in Moses Lake. The couple has three children.
