Santos "Santa" Martinez Jimenez, 81, a Warden resident for over 50 years passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee surrounded by loving family. Viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 15th at Kayser's Chapel and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, May 16th at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2014 at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden immediately followed by Funeral Services at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Santa was born on June 27, 1932 to Pedro and Andrea Martinez in Brownsville, Texas. On June 2, 1953, Santa married Genero Jimenez and they had five sons. They moved to Washington State in 1954 and to Warden in 1960. Santa started working for Skone and Conners that same year and then was transferred to work for Washington Potato, where she retired at the age of 72. Her passion was her grandchildren and her roses. Santa was a member of Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. She was a very loving, caring person and she will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Survivors include her sons, Genero, Jr. (Virginia) of Warden, Joe (Pat) of Texas, Estroberto (Tito) of California, and Raul of Warden. Raised as siblings, her niece and nephews, Benita Elizalde, Maria Gonzalez, Herculano, Damian, and Mario Martinez. Grandchildren, Steve (Chandra), Roman (Shannon), Valeria (Nathan), Sunshine, Santa, Raquel, Amanda and Lindsey and six great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Pedro and Andrea, she was preceded in death by her husband, Genero, son, Jose Leon, siblings, Juanita, Stephena, Marta, Luis and Anselmo Martinez and nephew, Pedro Martinez.
