SEATTLE - A celebration of life service is Friday for Seattle architect Robert Hull.

Hull, a Moses Lake native, died last month from stroke complications while on sabbatical in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He was 68.

Hull left his mark with several notable design projects throughout Washington, Oregon and California. He is especially remembered in Moses Lake for designing the Moses Lake Civic Center.

Hull also helped the Moses Lake Public Library Foundation develop a concept design for the group's library remodel and expansion project before he died.

Hull is survived by his wife and two sons.

His memorial service takes place at 3 p.m. at Bethany Community Church, 8023 Green Lake Dr. in Seattle, followed by a tea reception at 4 p.m.

Those who wish to attend should RSVP to The Miller Hull Partnership by e-mailing rsvp@millerhull.com.

Memorial donations can be made in Hull's name to the Gohar Khaton Girls' School in Afghanistan and the Washington State University College of Engineering and Architecture. Information on making donations to either groups can be found at www.millerhull.com.
