Spud Cup and ERP/WVSO Shoot Out results

EPHRATA - The sun was out, roses for Mom on Mother's Day, it was a great day for the Spud Cup and the ERP/WVSO Shoot Out.

The track heated up with The Kim Janke State Farm Agent V6 Super Cars, Schaeffer Oil Mini Stocks "A" and "B", Jerry's Auto Supply Streets Stocks and the Pepsi Racing 360 Winged Sprints.

Thank you to the cars from the Wenatchee Valley Super Oval who attended the shoot out which is the first race of the shoot out series, and helped to put on a great, action packed show.

The Spud Cup has been an annual event at Ephrata Raceway Park, adding the ERP/WVSO Shoot Out put the action to the event. WVSO driver Kevin Bull took over the lead from Justin Dunagan and Skyler Leseman on the 10th lap to lead for the remaining 40 laps. Lapping cars along the way with Tyler DeLong in the chase right behind him all the way made for an exciting night of racing.

Upcoming racing at Ephrata Raceway Park May 17 will be the first of five Motocross events. Gates will open at noon with racing at 5 p.m. May 24 is Memorial Day weekend and ERP will be closed. Please have a safe holiday.

Auto racing resumes May 31 with all local classes.

The next ERP/WVSO Shoot Out race will be held at Wenatchee Valley Super Oval on July 12.
