Amanda M. Hegwood

Amanda M. Hegwood, 30, a lifelong Moses Lake resident was called home to heaven on Saturday, May 10, 2014. She was at home, surrounded by the family whom she loved and who loved her. A celebration of Amanda's life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 14th at Lake City Foursquare Church, 333 N. Central Dr., Moses Lake. Interment will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetery, 2595 Road L NE, Moses Lake. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Amanda attended Larson Heights Elementary School before being taught in her home. She loved her cats Fluffy, Ducat, and most recently her service dog Chase. As a child, Amanda enjoyed making mud pies, beaded bracelets, birthday cards, and little picture books. Amanda's love for music continued long after she lost her hearing, as she continued to sing her favorite songs. Amanda's time here was a gift and she touched many people lives. Amanda seemed to bless those around her with her sweet spirit and kind heart and her impact on their lives will endure.

She is survived by her Mother and Stepfather Mary and Stuart Hall, Father Kevin Hegwood, siblings, Kyle, Tara, and Jasmine Hegwood, Great Grandmother, Vivian Davis, Grandmother, Margaret Schiffner, Grandparents, Bud and Judy Meyler. Aunts, Mary Davis and Marjorie, Uncles, Thomas and Robert Schiffner and many beloved cousins and family members. She is preceded in death by her Grandfather George Schiffner.
