Royal Golf Course announces 2014 schedule

ROYAL CITY - Pro Randy Puetz has announced the remainder of the 2014 tournament schedule for the Royal Golf Course.

The kickoff Spring Field Day was held in April. Next up is the Cross Country Tournament on May 24.

"The Cross Country event is on a three-day weekend. So if you have guests from out of town, bring them out. It's a great way to start the weekend," Puetz said.

US Open Day is a week late due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, but the format will be the same as last year.

All events are open to men, women and juniors. Carts should be reserved in advance. RGC has only 12.

Handicaps are involved in all events so that anyone can win. If you don't have a handicap, Puetz will assign you one based on your history of performance.

"Single players are welcome to all team events," Puetz said. "We will try to place the singles and two-somes into groups. Bring your friends out. It's all for the fun."
