STEEL WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT - 2014

Moses Lake, Washington

Sealed bids will be received at Civic Center Annex, 321 South Balsam, (P. O. Box 1579), Moses Lake, Washington 98837 until MAY 28, 2014; 2:00 PM, for the above-named improvement. Said bids will be opened and publicly read at that time. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with STEEL WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT - 2014 marked plainly thereon.

All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City.

Plans and specifications shall be obtained at the Civic Center Annex at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. Only bids from bidders who have purchased plans and specifications at the Civic Center Annex will be accepted. Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Work includes water system improvements, repairs, and revisions; installing water mains, connecting to water mains and services; installing water services and hydrants; irrigation revisions; installing a valve vault with flow meter, control valve, and pressure gauges; installing 100-amp electrical service, telemetry system, and SCADA programming; replacing traffic control induction loops; traffic control; utility adjustments; HMA patch; and associated work.

Estimated Project Cost: $575,000.00

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids if such action is in the best interest of the City.
