MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Walmart is distributing grants to local community agencies as part of its “grand reopening.” The company will distribute the notifications at 8 a.m. Friday at the store, 1005 North Stratford Rd.

Walmart grants will be awarded to Grant County Animal Outreach, the Moses Lake fire and police departments, the New Hope domestic violence prevention organization, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Senior Opportunity and Service (SOS), Daze of Camelot animal rescue charity and Moses Lake community service organization.

The store was remodeled this spring. The work included repairing the store’s flooring, upgrading the bathrooms, moving aisles and painting, according to a March Columbia Basin Herald article.
