Columbia River boat launches, shoreline remain closed during Memorial Day weekend
Due to the lowered levels of the Wanapum Resevoir, activities are limited on the Columbia River during Memorial Day Weekend.
EPHRATA -- The Grant PUD reminded boaters and fishermen that boat launches and sections of the Columbia River shoreline, including Crescent Bar, would be closed for recreation during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
Sheriff’s deputies from area counties and state wildlife officers will patrol the shorelines.
The PUD lowered Columbia River water levels in February after divers found a crack in the spillway monolith.
