Treasure graduation in digital yearbook

| May 2, 2014 6:00 AM

Do you remember the excitement of your senior year and all the special memories? We do.

It's why we're inviting graduating high school seniors in our readership of Grant and Adams counties to take part in a special video project. (This project is open to students in Moses Lake, Warden, Othello, Quincy, Soap Lake, Lind/Ritzville, Ephrata, Wilson Creek, and Almira/Coulee-Hartline)

Here's how it works: With your digital camera or smartphone, shoot a 3-minute video of yourself (or a fellow senior) sharing your future plans, high school memories and thanking your supporters.

We are compiling the videos for a special digital yearbook that will appear on the Columbia Basin Herald's website and Facebook page. An overview article about the project's participants and contributions will appear in the Columbia Basin Herald.

To submit your video, please email, text or message Social Media Editor Shawn Cardwell at social@columbiabasinherald.com, or 509-770-1507.

We are accepting video submissions up until graduation.

We think this project is a great way for seniors to remember their friends, have documented goals to revisit and practice their presentation skills.

We hope the fun of making a video helps create even more memories for graduates, their friends and family.

With a simple mouse click, parents can quickly share their child's graduation with loved ones far away.
