| March 30, 2014 3:45 PM

SUMMER FALLS —A child died late Sunday after being pulled from a canal near Summer Falls.

Two other children were retrieved from the canal Sunday afternoon after their vehicle went into the water, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.

The children were taken to Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake, according to 911 dispatch. Their names and ages weren't released as search and rescue workers were still looking for the adult male driver of the vehicle. Search efforts resume today.

It is believed the vehicle entered the water near Pinto Dam.

Summer Falls is located about 30 minutes north of Moses Lake.
