Washburn headed to Zone Championships

FEDERAL WAY - Zachary Washburn, of the Moses Lake Manta Rays, advanced to the Zone Championships recently.
Washburn excelled in the 10 and under boys division at the Northwest Age Group Regionals, winning all six of his events.
The top swimmers from Oregon, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii were all in attendance.
Washburn recorded best times and set team records in all six events: the 50, 100 and 200-yard free, the 50 and 100-yard fly and the 100-yard individual medley.
The Zone Championships will be held in August in Federal Way. The Zone meet features the top swimmers from the western half of the United States.
