ROYAL CITY - Red Rock Elementary closed out the year with a flurry of activities that were fun and educational.

The first was a play put on by Mr. Ziegler's fifth grade reading class. It was done in the form of a TV game show dealing with American History.

Students learned about well known and little known American figures like Sacagawea, Gutzon Borglum, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Dolly Madison, Babe Ruth, Queen Liliuokalani, and Maria Mitchell.

The game show host was Uncle Sam, played by Miyah Lee. Zoe Noftle played the part Lady Liberty.

Lady Liberty awarded the prizes to the mystery guests. The job of these American figures was to stump the panel.

The panel members asked the mystery guests questions, at times while blindfolded, so identity was not given away. For every question the panel was not able to guess the identity of the mystery guest the guest won a (fake) monetary prize.

"I was amazed by how well run the play was," counselor Nicole Schwartz said. "The class had clearly prepared well, and they all knew their lines. The mystery guests really got into character and did a wonderful job of keeping the audience engaged."

The parents of the students and Mr. Bozorth's class provided an audience Mr. Ziegler's the students.
