EPHRATA - Northland Communications recently completed an upgrade to their system, which will bring faster Internet speeds to the Ephrata area.

The company announced this week they have completed a DOCSIS 3.0 upgrade, a major investment on their end.

"Northland invested thousands of dollars in this project in order to give Ephrata residents access to faster Internet speeds - up to 24 Mbps (megabits per second)," Northland Business Manager Jeff Johnson said. "With this upgrade, we were able to increase our speeds by twice our previously available offering."

Northland, headquartered in Seattle, offers TV, Internet and home phone services to individuals and businesses in communities in Washington, Idaho, California, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
