Notice is hereby given that a SEPA Checklist was received by Grant County on June 6, 2014 from the Port of Moses Lake (Designated Contact: Carol Gibson, 7810 Andrews St. NE, Ste 200, Moses Lake, WA 98837), and was found to be technically complete on June 18, 2014. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal, and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This proposal may include mitigation measures under applicable codes, and the project review process may incorporate or require mitigation measures regardless of whether an EIS is prepared. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal and the proposed mitigation measures. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request. PROJECT: The site is being graded to provide a site for possible future expansion and to clear debris that might hinder aircraft rescue operations in the event of an accident. Phase 1 will include an area 22 acres in size. The project will include a borrow pit for non-crushable debris material and a prep trench for unsuitable material graded form the project site. Approximately 72,000 cy of cut and 72,000 cy fill material. No offsite fill will be imported. ADDITIONAL PERMITS REQUIRED: Grading Permit. STUDIES SUBMITTED: None. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code.
