Relay for Life volunteer grateful for support

| June 20, 2014 6:00 AM

This past weekend we held our 26th Relay for Life at the Grant County Fairgrounds.

I would like to take a moment and thank teams, corporate sponsors, and the many people who came out to help fight cancer.

Money raised from Relay for Life helps fund important programs and research. If you know of anyone who has gone through cancer most likely you know of someone then who has benefitted from RFL money.

Research is a huge part of what we do, so many treatments have been funded through RFL.

Promoting early detection, education is all funded through RFL. While we might not hand them a gift card our goal is to hand them a better quality of life, and a treatment that could possibly save their life.

We couldn't do this without the generous support of the Moses Lake community. Our committee works very hard all year long to make this event a success (we are over goal by $11,000 this year).

Our team captains are the best. They work hard to lead their teams in fundraising and it shows. Thank you once again.
