One injured in crash near George Tuesday
GEORGE - A Seattle driver was hospitalized after drifting into the trailer of a semi-truck on Interstate 90 in George Tuesday.
About 10:30 p.m., Warren L. Holderman, 56, was heading west in a 2004 Mercedes Benz E320 and reportedly driving down the center line on I-90.
When a semi-truck and trailer approached Holderman, he reportedly drifted over to the right, striking the trailer.
He then lost control of the vehicle and drove off the road to the left, striking the cable barrier with the vehicle coming to rest in the median.
The semi-truck came to rest on the right shoulder, according to the State Patrol.
Holderman was transported to Quincy Valley Medical Center for undisclosed injuries. His Mercedes was totaled in the crash.
The driver of the semi-truck, Cody T. Vantilburg, 21, of Sioux City, Iowa, was uninjured.
The State Patrol determined inattention and lane travel by Holderman caused the collision. He was cited for improper lane usage.
