Nancy Ellen West

Nancy Ellen West, 56, longtime Moses Lake resident, died in her home Saturday, May 31, 2014 in Moses Lake, Wash. She was born July 4, 1957 in Myrtle Point, Oreg. to Lois Lorraine Street and Lorenzo Joseph Bettelyoun.

Nancy graduated from Omak High School in 1977, she attended BBCC and enrolled in teaching classes, focusing on Early Education for Pre-School. She married Steven West on June 18, 1988 in Moses Lake, Wash. She later worked for Head Start/Preschool, which she absolutely loved and later worked for Grant Mental Health as a driver. She enjoyed bowling and bowled on a nine-ball, no-tap bowling team, she loved square dancing ... even though she had "two left feet"!, but her real passion was teaching little children. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Moses Lake 10th Ward.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 26 years Steven West of Moses Lake, Wash.; daughter Donna and husband Larry Lytle and grandson Kyle, of Arlington, Wash., son Andrew and wife Michele Sonnenberg and grandson James, and daughter Alicia West; sisters Iva and husband Leo Martinez, of Forks, Wash., Rose Peterson of Walla Walla, Wash. and Mary Reinhold of Buena, Wash., brothers Joe and wife Candy Bettelyoun of Forks, Wash. and Paul Bettelyoun of Tenn.; adopted family and special friends - Tadlee, Carrie, Josh, Aubrey, Scott, TJ, Christian and Eli Welty, and Sharon Tolley all of Moses Lake, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 14th, 2014 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Division St.Chapel with Bishop Neal Manly officiating.
