With day time temperatures at the 90 degree mark exciting times are happening for fishers in Central Eastern Washington. Surface water temperatures are topping the 70 degree mark which really improves bass fishing. Buzz baits, floating stick baits, Rebel Pop R.s and especially floating frogs of all kinds now are producing large mouth bass over 5 lbs. and small mouth bass over 4l bs. Yamamoto Senkos of all sizes, spinner baits and everthing from plastic grubs to plastic lizards are producing action for bass fishers.
Walleye continue to be reported from all over Potholes Reservoir. Now larger walleye are more available throughout the sand dunes.
The Mar Don fishing dock is just beginning to show improved crappie catches. The dock has been producing yellow perch, small mouth bass and a few rainbow trout.
Corral Lake is kicking out rainbow from 10 inches to 14 inches. Other good Seep Lakes such as Wardon Lake, Canal Lake, Heart Lake, the Windmill Lakes and Hampton Lakes remain good trout options for bank fishers using Powerbaits. Rooster Tails, Mepps Spinners, Vibrax Spinners, Cast Masters and many other spinners work well in the Seep Lakes below O' Sullivan Dam. For more current information call 509-346-2651.
