CDBG PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City Council in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 445 Camelia Street, NE, on June 17, at 7:00 pm. The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low- and moderate-income persons and persons residing in the Royal City area. Up to $110,000 may be available to the City of Royal City on a statewide competitive basis to fund off-site infrastructure or community facility projects that support housing projects principally benefiting low- and moderate-income persons. The draft application for the off-site infrastructure improvements to support the Catholic Charities’ farmworker housing project proposal will be available for review at City Hall, 445 Camelia Street, NE, Royal City, on June 12, 2014.  Comments may also be submitted in writing to City of Royal City, PO Box 1239, Royal City, WA  99357, June 17, 2014.
