Four beards to win $50 each

ROYAL CITY - If you could use an extra 50 bucks, you may want to consider growing a beard for SummerFest.
The top beards in four categories will bring $50 to the wearers. SummerFest will be held on July 11-13.
According to chair Louise Anderson (346-9292), the 2014 Royal SummerFest Beard Contest will be judged in four different categories: Full (ie Duck Dynasty), Mustache, Partial Beard (ie: goatee, amish, chops) and Freestyle (Most creatively styled beard. No extensions or false hair but styling products and props are allowed)
Contestants will be introduced at the Barbeque on Friday night, and the judging will take place on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at the SHOC booth.
The first place winner for each category will receive $50.00 and bragging rights.
