NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed bids will be received by the Grant County at the office of the Board of Commissioners, Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, Washington for the construction of Grant County Public Works Office HVAC Improvements. Time limits for receipt of proposals are as follows:

Section 00 41 00 – Price Proposal must be received by 10:00 am, August 12, 2014.

Section 00 41 10 – Subcontractor’s Listing must be received not later than one hour after the Price Proposal time limit.

Bids received after this time will not be considered.

Bids will be opened and read publicly by the Owner’s representative immediately following the hour set above. The Board of Grant County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities, without cause.

The project is for HVAC improvements to the existing Grant County Public Works administrative office building. The work includes, but is not limited to the following improvements: Replacement of an existing 30-ton, air-cooled chiller with a new 30-ton, air-cooled chiller; Replace existing shut-off valves, control valves and hose kits on the 14 fan-coil, chilled water coils with new shut-off valves, control valves, and hose kits; Activate the BacNet and WebTalk features of the existing Building Automated System; Connect the new chiller BacNet card to the existing building automation system and revise the existing graphics to account for the new BacNet controller features and alarms; Run a new high-speed communications loop around the existing building to permit future installation of replacement controllers.

Bidding Documents, including Instructions to Bidders, Sample Contract, General Conditions and Requirements, Drawings and Specifications entitled, “Public Works Office HVAC Improvements” may be examined at various construction councils and builder association plan centers, a list of which is available from the office of the Owner’s Representative.

Prime Bidders, Mechanical and Electrical sub-bidders who are bidding without procuring plans from the Owner’s Representative are required to send a written request to be included on the bidder’s list and shall identify the source of their bid documents.
