Columbia Crest Center in Moses Lake receives national award
Genesis Healthcare celebrated their newly renovated Columbia Crest Center with Moses Lake Chamber of Commerce members last month. The Moses Lake facility recently won a Bronze Commitment to Quality award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.
MOSES LAKE - Genesis HealthCare's Columbia Crest Center recently received national recognition.
The Moses Lake facility earned a Bronze Commitment to Quality award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living. The award is one of three awards possible through the association's National Quality Award program, which honors facilities across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality care for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
The program was implemented in 1996, and assists providers of long term and post-acute care services in achieving their performance excellence goals.
Association president Mark Parkinson said the awards represent the dedication each participant has given to improve quality in the long term and post-acute care profession.
"I applaud Columbia Crest Center for its commitment to delivering quality care," he said in a statement.
The program has three levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Facilities begin their quality improvement process at the Bronze level and work toward the Silver and Gold levels.
As a Bronze recipient, Columbia Crest Center can now move forward in meeting the criteria needed for the Silver award.
Facility Administrator Karl Hernandez said Columbia Crest Center has an ongoing commitment to quality.
"I am so proud of the hard work and dedication our team here has shown to achieve this distinction and provide quality services and care to our patients and residents every day," he said.
Columbia Crest Center has a current capacity of 111 beds. The facility is one of the more than 400 skilled nursing centers and assisted living residences across the country operated by Genesis HealthCare. Genesis also supplies rehabilitation therapy to more than 1,500 healthcare providers in 46 states.
