Moses Lake still unbeaten in Pasco
PASCO - Moses Lake wrestling concluded Day 1 of the Pasco Redneck Summer Wrestling Camp a perfect 8-0.
Day 2 was no different.
The Chiefs continued their dominance and finished the second day of competition 6-0, improving their overall record to 14-0.
However, a highly anticipated dual with Tahoma was postponed until the final day of competition.
Head coach Jaime Garza said he was looking forward to matching up with another state power.
Moses Lake cruised to a 58-12 win over Lewis and Clark to kick off Day 2. There was no let up going forward as the Chiefs sprinted through their next two duals against Highland (63-9) and White Salmon (62-6).
Centralia? Not a problem.
Moses Lake dispatched them 58-12.
In the team's fifth dual of the day Moses Lake went head up against 2A contender Deer Park.
Any chance of a slip up was just a pipe dream as the Chiefs rolled to a 42-18 win.
"Deer Park's a solid team ... We wrestled well against them." Garza said.
Moses Lake ended its day with a 63-12 shellacking of Kennewick.
So far, Garza has enjoyed the camaraderie he's seen between the older and younger wrestlers on the team. He's also been impressed with how further along some wrestlers are in their technique.
Moses Lake closes competition in Pasco today.
