Golf tournament benefits Boys and Girls Club

MOSES LAKE - Local golfers pitched in to help the Moses Lake Boys and Girls Club recently.

The Boys and Girls Club Golf Tournament took place over the weekend with four teams vying for first place bragging rights.

Dino Cacchiotti, Charlie Alaniz and Jeremy Huberdeau cosponsored the bid for the tournament, which was an item at the annual Boys and Girls Club auction.

Over the course of four years, an estimated $12,000 has been raised for the Boys and Girls club.

In the four-person scramble the team of Tom Taylor, Chuck Sutton, Juan Rocha and Ariel Garza took first place with a score of 34.

B.J. Garbe, Jeremy Huberdeau, Mike Martin and Efrain Alvarez scored a 37, good for second place.

Narrowly trailing with a third place score of 38 was the team of Dino Cacchiotti, Rhonda Cacchiotti, Don Eng and Janae Eng.

Don recorded the longest putt on hole No. 2 while Rhonda recorded the women's longest drive on hole No. 4.

Huberdeau was closest to the pin on hole No. 6 with a mark of 18 feet, 10 inches.

Finally, Don recorded the men's longest drive on hole No. 9.

This year's event was hosted by the Moses Lake Golf Club.
