MOSES LAKE - A busy weekend for the Moses Lake Walleyes netted the team three wins out of four games.

Friday, the Walleyes took two games from the Kennewick Phantoms, 12-2 and 16-2. The next day, Moses Lake hosted the Pasco Sun Devils and rallied to take the nightcap, 12-2, after dropping Game 1, 7-1.

Moses Lake reached double digit wins, improving to 10-24 on the season.

Game 1 against the Phantoms saw the Moses Lake bats catch fire in the third inning. After already leading 5-2, the Walleyes were able to put together a six-run third inning that put the game out of reach.

Daniel Ochoa started the two-out rally with an RBI single after Moses Lake loaded the bases. Easton Castro followed with a two-run bloop single.

Moses Lake continued the rally after a Kennewick wild pitch and an Anthony Longmire RBI double scored two more. Jason Cole capped the inning with a single that scored the sixth run.

Moses Lake tacked on one more run in the fourth and Micah Sanchez retired the side in the fifth to give Moses Lake the 12-2 victory.

However, the Walleyes were able to answer with six runs of their own in the second and third innings combined to tie the game at 8-8.

Moses Lake was able to pull away over the final three frames, scoring eight more runs and holding on for a 16-12 win.

This time, Longmire was the offensive star with four hits and three RBIs.

The team scratched out five hits, but could only score one run and fell 7-1.

Longmire had the lone RBI for the Walleyes.

Cade Tunstall pitched a complete game and struck out seven in the loss.
