Tom Dent would represent the 13th District well

Since moving to Coulee City from Woodinville in 1999, we began to become involved with politics more directly than in the past. One of the first people I met was Tom Dent who was then Grant County Republican Party Chairman. From my observation, I could see that the Grant County Republican Party seemed to have more influence on the political landscape than I'd been used to in the past living in Snohomish County.

I believe that this was no accident and certainly one of the key people who helped bring this about was Tom Dent. As I became more involved as a precinct committee officer and later as GCRP Commissioner District 1 chair, I saw first-hand the dedicated, diligent and tireless effort that Tom and his wife, Dayna, put into the party and working to elect good conservative Republicans to important offices.

Perhaps more important than this, though, was getting to know the man and seeing him as a trustworthy person of the highest moral character and integrity. Too often these days these qualities seem to be much lacking in the people we chose to represent us at the local, state and federal levels. It is refreshing to occasionally meet people like Tom and Dayna who truly are "salt-of-the-earth" people you can always count on.

For these reasons, I support Tom Dent for election as one of our legislators to the Washington State House of Representatives from the 13th District.
