Quincy PD seeks reserve officers

| July 10, 2014 6:00 AM

QUINCY - The City of Quincy Police Department is accepting applications for Reserve Officers. It's an opportunity to start a law enforcement career.

The department has a limited number of positions available and is looking for qualified individuals to fill them. A reserve officer is a non-paid, commissioned position.

Persons who apply will be required to meet the same standard for acceptance as a full-time commissioned officer. Once commissioned, the department will require 20 hours per month of your time.

“Those who apply should have a strong commitment to community service or be looking to get into the field of law enforcement as a career,” Police Chief Bob Heimbach said.

The testing process consists of a physical agility test, oral boards and background check. The physical agility test will be given on August 16.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on August 15. They can be acquired at the Quincy Police Department.

For further information about this opportunity, contact Sgt. Paul Snyder at the Quincy Police Department at 509-787-4718 ext. 504.
