MOSES LAKE - Drugs are believed to be a factor in a motorcycle crash that injured a 20-year-old man Tuesday morning near Moses Lake.

TJ Harman, of Moses Lake, was driving a 1984 BMW motorcycle south on Bouldercrest Road about 9:30 a.m. when deputies believe he passed out and drove off the east side of the road, according to the sheriff's office.

The motorcycle continued south in the ditch when Harman reportedly woke up and slammed on the breaks, causing him to lose control. He was thrown about 60 feet from the motorcycle and was found conscious when EMS arrived. He was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for minor injuries, according to the sheriff's office.

He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The sheriff's office Motor Traffic Unit is still investigating and believes drugs were a factor in the crash. Harman was released from the hospital and booked into Grant County Jail on suspicion of possession of a legend drug without a prescription.
