2 from Royal hurt in rear-end crash

ROYAL CITY - Five people, including two from Royal City, were injured Sunday evening in a rear-end accident on Highway 28, eleven miles east of East Wenatchee.

Both vehicles were westbound. The first one slowed for traffic, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) said. The second did not, according to the WSP, and struck the rear end of the first vehicle.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved in the 7:12 p.m. accident, and all drivers and passengers were wearing their seat belts, the State Patrol said.

The driver of the second vehicle was Belen E. Casillas Villaseñor, 28, of Royal City. She was injured but did not require hospital care.

Casillas Villaseñor was driving a 2014 Volkswagon Jetta, which was totaled. It was impounded by NCW Towing.

JDA E. Gonzalez Casillas, 11, of Royal City was a passenger in the Casillas Villaseñor vehicle. She was hurt but did not require hospital care.

The driver of the first car was Thomas R. House, 31, of Ellensburg. He was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox.

Injured, House was taken by ambulance to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Totaled, the car was impounded by NCW Towing.

Both passengers in the House vehicle were injured. They were Luz M. Arguelles, 15, of East Wenatchee and Janelle V. Dolge, 36, of East Wenatchee.

Arguelles was transported to CWH. Dolge did not require hospital care.
