Moses Lake swim remains undefeated

YAKIMA - Moses Lake boys swimming continued its run of dominance this season by sweeping its triple dual against Eisenhower, Davis and Sunnyside.

The Chiefs defeated Eisenhower 121-49, Davis 105-74 and Sunnyside 122-27.

"We have been training right through the dual meet league schedule with the expectation of swimming great times during the championship phase of the season," head coach Tony St. Onge said.

Moses Lake is a perfect 9-0 and closes its league schedule Tuesday against Eastmont at home.

Kaelan Connacher placed first in the 200-yard freestyle and Garrett Widmer took first in diving. Madison Molitor scored wins in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle while Brenden Eslick took first in the 100-yard fly and the 100-yard backstroke,

Zack Johnston won the 500-yard freestyle as well as the 100-yard breaststroke.

Moses Lake also competed in the 11 dive district/state qualifying meet in Wenatchee where divers Isaiah Zeller, Trenton Springen and Garrett Widmer.

So far, the Chiefs have 21 athletes qualified for districts and four qualified for state.
