FIRST Robotics needs space to build

| January 24, 2014 5:00 AM

There are five kids, who have a total combined FIRST Robotics experience of 13 years. There are 21 kids currently on the FLL teams, hoping that they too can graduate FLL and be on a Moses Lake FIRST FTC Team. They have the coaches, the engineers and some of the tools and some of the funds they need to reach the next level of FIRST Robotics Competition, and qualify for 18 million dollars of college scholarships. They work each summer to earn funds for the team, by having a Day camp and doing concessions in the park. But one thing is holding them back, and it seems to be everywhere you look in Moses Lake ... An empty building, shop or garage to meet and build in. It does not have to be nice or new, almost anything will do. They have asked everyone they can think of, and no one is willing to let these kids have the space to build an eighteen inch robot with a twelve foot square practice field; which is the first step to their educational goals and dreams! It seems so simple, find someone who needs the tax donation for helping out the kids of a 5013c. IF you or anyone you know, might have a space to help out these kids, PLEASE PLEASE, call Kat 760-4589 with the Camp Fire FIRST Robotics Teams of Moses Lake.
