| January 22, 2014 5:00 AM

William "Bill" Yanke, 60, of Moses Lake, WA was welcomed into Heaven January 8th 2014. Bill was born October 11, 1953 in Boise, ID to Ralph Herbert and Anna Louise (Froehlich) Yanke.

Bill was a dedicated father, brother, uncle, son, and valued employee, who was about to enter his 36th year at Genie Industries. In his early years in Boise, he was the youngest of 3 children and enjoyed playing with his older siblings. He graduated high school in 1971 and entered fatherhood shortly thereafter.

As a young single father, he worked tirelessly to provide a healthy home for his son, which required him moving from his hometown of Boise, ID to Seattle, WA in 1977 where he quickly found work at a company he would work for the rest of his life starting February 26, 1978 at Genie Industries.

His hobbies included coin and antique collecting, playing checkers, and gardening. At work he was known for his dedicated attendance and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly. His constant presence and careful approach made him a very successful and frequently awarded and valued employee at Genie.

He was preceded in death by his mother Anna Louise Yanke (1924-1967), father Ralph Herbert Yanke (1921-1987), and brother David Ralph Yanke (1952-2003).

He is survived by his son Christopher Brandon Yanke, sister Marilyn Ann Yanke, sister-in-law Theresa Yanke-Overgaard, niece Anna Theresa Yanke, nephew Austin David Yanke and his wife Asheley Apter Yanke and many fellow friends and co-workers at Genie Industries.

He will be missed by everyone here on earth and welcomed by his family that has already left this earth. Although his words were few, his actions spoke to everyone to define his devotion and dedication.

A Celebration of Bill's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 in New Beginnings Christian Center, 318 West Northshore Drive, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
