Quincy shooting under investigation

QUINCY - The Quincy Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Jan. 3 at approximately 11:22 p.m.

According to Sgt. Paul Snyder, the victim reported that, as he drove up to his residence in the 300 block of 3rd Ave. SW, he observed a vehicle entering the alley followed by several male subjects on foot.

The victim pulled up to the alley, Snyder said, and one subject broke off from the group and headed back towards the victim. The male subject then pulled out a handgun and shot approximately five times at the victim.

The victim was not injured, but the vehicle was hit. The victim quickly drove away and found a police officer. ?

According to Snyder, the vehicle seen entering the alley first is described as a 1980s model Honda, possibly Prelude, red in color. ?

The Quincy Police Department is pursuing all avenues and seeking a person of interest, whose name is being strategically withheld. ?
