PROJECT: The applicant is proposing to rebuild the Stratford Substation in order to meet the current design and reliability requirements for substations on a parcel in the Agricultural Zone of Grant County.

Notice is hereby given that a Discretionary Use Review Application and SEPA Checklist were received on January 07, 2014 from Avista Corporation, PO Box 3727 MSC-24, Spokane, WA 99220-3727 (Contact: Aaron Henson- Avista Corp) and was found to be Technically Complete and preliminarily appears to be consistent with the Unified Development Code and other applicable State and local requirements as of January 10, 2014. PROJECT: The applicant is proposing to rebuild the Stratford Substation in order to meet the current design and reliability requirements for substations on a parcel in the Agricultural Zone of Grant County. There is an existing substation currently on site which will remain operational until the new substation is completed. ADDITIONAL PERMITS: Building Permit. STUDIES REQUIRED: None. LOCATION: The property is located in Stratford on Rd. 22.7 NE approximately 10.5 miles east of Soap Lake. The site is located in the Northwest quarter of Section 11, Township 22 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, WA. Parcel #s 17-1243-000 & 17-1241-000. ZONING: Agriculture. Required mitigation will be pursuant to UDC. Any person has right to comment, receive notice, participate in hearings, request copy of final decision, and/or appeal decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on above listed materials.
