Carolina Hernandez Morón

| January 15, 2014 5:00 AM

Our beloved Carolina Hernandez Morón went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, January 6, 2014 in Pasco surrounded by family.

Carolina was born October 10, 1926 in Taft, TX to Leonardo & Josefina Hernandez. She was raised in San Pedro, C.O.A.H, Mexico and married Esequiel Morón on June 28, 1943. They lived in Crystal City, TX and moved to Moses Lake in 1960. They later moved to Warden and lived there for 30 years. She worked and retired from Lamb Weston but her heart was a homemaker raising her children. Eventually, she settled to the Tri-Cities area to be closer to her family.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking, gardening her flowers, vegetables, knitting beanies for her whole family. Traditions that she loved were preparing confetti eggs for Easter for the family to enjoy, making goody bags for her grandchildren/great grandchildren during Christmas time. But most of all she was strong in her faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Esequiel Morón Sr., four sons and two daughters, Pablo Morón, Jose Luis Morón, Rudolfo Morón, Mario Morón, Irene Morón and Lenda Mariscal and two grandchildren, Alfonso Rodriguez & Charles Parks.

She is survived by four daughters, Carolina/Johnny Gonzales (Othello), Delores Guzman (Kennewick), Mary/Tony Diaz (Pasco), Isabel Sifuentez (Pasco), and three sons, Roy/Anna Leyva (Arizona), Esequiel/April Marone Jr. (Pasco), Samuel Hernandez Morón (Pasco) and a daughter-in law Jane Morón (Richland) and son-in law Jesus Mariscal (Pasco), 30 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren.

Viewing will be on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 10am-12pm at the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden with services to follow and interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake.
