Moses Lake man injured

CHELAN – One man from Moses Lake was hurt on Dec. 31 when one car struck another from behind on Highway 2 in Cashmere.

Brett J. Brown, 56, of Moses Lake was stopped at a stop sign on Aplets Way waiting for traffic when the 2004 Dodge Durango he was driving was rear-ended.

According to the Washington State Patrol, Paula D. Dinius, 56, of Leavenworth was driving the 1999 Jeep Cherokee that struck the Durango.

The WSP reported it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts. Both vehicles were impounded by Randy's Towing.

The WSP reported that after striking the Durango, the Cherokee hit a guardrail, then crossed the roadway and struck another guardrail.

Both drivers were transported to Wenatchee Valley Hospital by ambulance. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
