Antonia G. Hernandez

Antonia G. Hernandez, 88, longtime Moses Lake resident was welcomed to Heaven on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. She was at home surrounded by loving family. A celebration of Antonia's life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 13, 2014 at the Sendero Life Center, 2227 Peninsula Drive with Pastor Mike Alvarado officiating. Viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, January 13th at the Sendero Life Center.

Antonia was born on October 14, 1925 in Tynan, Texas, daughter of the late Arnulfo and Adelina (Reyna) Garza. She was raised and educated in Texas. Antonia was married to Guadalupe Hernandez on July 7, 1946 and they made their home in Moses Lake since 1960. Guadalupe preceded her in death in 1984.

Antonia was a faithful member of the El Sendero de La Cruz Church. She enjoyed cooking and hosting family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Lupe and JoAnn Hernandez, Paul and Ramona Hernandez; daughters and sons-in-law, Lucelia and Emilio Garibay, Susie Hernandez and Rene Delarosa; brother, Jose Garza; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lydia Delarosa, sisters, Angelica Alaniz, Celia Hernandez, brother, Arnulfo Garza, Jr., and sister-in-law, Dolores DeLeon.
