| January 4, 2014 5:00 AM

Our beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, Ardell Groff, went to Heaven to be with the Lord on December 30th, 2013 at the age of 89. A celebration of Ardell's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Moses Lake Alliance Church, 1100 N. Grape Drive. Please sign the online guestbook or leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.

Ardell was born in Burr Oak, Kansas on March 24th, 1924 to her parents Herman and Delpha Cline. She was the oldest of 5 children. She had 3 brothers, Randall, Keith and Gene Cline and one sister, Helen Cline, who have all preceded her in death.

Ardell grew up in North Branch, Kansas and moved to Kuna, Idaho where she graduated from High School in 1942. Ardell was married to Raymond Groff on May 27th, 1944. They lived in Idaho until October of that year when Raymond was drafted into the Army. Ardell traveled with him to Texas until he was deployed to Tokyo, Japan in 1945. During the time Raymond was overseas, Ardell lived with relatives in Idaho and their first child, Ronald Raymond Groff was born. After Raymond served his two years in the army he returned to Idaho and started farming. They were blessed with another son, Dennis Gene Groff. In 1952 they moved to Moses Lake where they cleared the land and developed a dairy farm. In 1953 they were blessed with a daughter, Sharon Ardell Groff and their family was complete. They lived and worked on the farm until 1972 when they retired from farming because of Raymond's health. He preceded her in death in 1980.

Ardell was always a hard worker. Along with milking cows twice a day and raising children she worked a full time job in food service for 38 years. She worked for the School District, BBCC, the Senior Center and finally Crestview Nursing Home where she retired in 1992.

Ardell had 4 grandchildren: Eric and June Groff of Moses Lake, Marianne and Alan Badgley of Moses Lake, Joey and Mary Blazer of Aloha, OR and Faith and Darren Bridges of Renton. She also was blessed with 10 beautiful great-grandchildren: Quinten Groff, Natasha Groff-Erickson, Christopher, Alivia, Anna, Isaac, and Jordan Badgley, James and Isaiah Blazer and Evelyn Bridges. She also had one great-great grandchild, Marzden Erickson.

Ardell loved the Lord and lived a full life. She was always active in her children's lives and her church and she spent lots of time sharing God's love and helping to build into the lives of her family and friends. She just loved people! It wasn't until the last few years that she had to depend on others to do things for her. Ardell lived with her daughter Sharon and son-in-law, Mark until the time of her death. She will be missed terribly but we are so comforted to know that she is in the arms of Jesus and she is no longer in pain.

We would like to thank her caregiver, Mary Favors, for her love and kindness and also the staff at Samaritan Hospital for their great care for her in her last hours.
