Reader relates music to 'Health Care'

| January 3, 2014 5:00 AM

For What It's Worth - Stephen Stills and Buffalo Springfield may have been a wee bit ahead of time. Perhaps the 1966 lyrics should now read

There's something happening here What it is ain't exactly clear There's a man with "Health Care" there Telling me you got's to subscribe here I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat A million people in the street Singing, praying, and carrying signs Mostly say, who voted for our side It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep Into your life it will creep It starts when you're always afraid You step out of line, the IRS come and take you away We better stop, hey, what's that sound Everybody look what's going down

Let us pray, as the Founding Fathers of this country did, that we be guided in our knowledge and hearts such that We the People shall properly vet and elect representatives with integrity, wisdom, knowledge, faith in our Creator, and a desire to serve, rather than rule, the people of this country.

The ultimate weapon that We the People have to protect our nation is our ability to learn from history, peacefully gather together, speak out, and use wisdom in voting!

I pray that our Creator will bless the people of our country in this coming year to come together peacefully with mutual respect, and protect our Republic.
