Grandparents grateful for ice rescue

| January 3, 2014 5:00 AM

We would like to thank the people that rescued our son and grandson from Moses Lake Saturday afternoon, December 14. Coming back from Spokane, they decided to stop and play on the ice. Our 8 year old grandson fell through the ice. When his father tried to rescue him, he also fell through. Our 15 year old granddaughter called for help and some nearby fishermen came to the rescue. Our son was able to help our grandson out of the water and one of the fishermen threw our son a rope so he could climb out. They were both out of the water by the time the firemen arrived, and neither of them required any medical attention. With great thankfulness to God, the men who came to their rescue, and the Moses Lake Fire Department, we are celebrating Christmas this year with our son and his entire family.
